Talk : Halesworth Witches of 1645

Doors open at 7pm for 7:30pm start. With David Wollweber. In August 1645, at the height of the English Civil War, two men and six women from Halesworth and area went on trial for witchcraft at Bury St.Edmunds. David looks at why this happened and who was responsible, and what happened to the so-called witches. This is an update on the talk given last year to Halesworth U3A).
