The Blythweb Calendar publicises events open to the public which are taking place in the general area of the
Blyth Valley in north-east Suffolk and occasionally also in the wider area. These events include those held in
support of local and UK charities, organisations, good causes etc., which we are pleased to freely publicise.

Taking place regularly on Thursday mornings. These popular general interest tours are provided by a local resident. Children are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult throughout the tour. If you’d like to join a tour you can just turn up.

Richard Hoggett, a warm friend of the Southwold Historical Society, is a consultant and lecturer who specialises in East Anglian archaeology and heritage. He is the author, among other books, of The Archaeology of the East Anglian Conversion (2010). He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
