Southwold 2024 Literary Festival

Taking place Friday 8th - Sunday 10th November, featuring a mix of fiction and non-fiction authors speaking about a fascinating range of subjects. Today at 10am Lisa Wollett, at 11:30am Jane Cholmeley, at 2pm D.J.Taylor (George Orwell expert, in conversation with Ronald Binns), at 3:30pm Samuel Burr, and at 5pm Ian Collins and Richard Mabey in conversation.

Sunset Stroll, at RSPB Minsmere

Experience Minsmere at the best time of day as the sun sets above the reeds. With luck, thousands of Starlings will gather in their amazing swirling flocks, or a dozen or so Marsh Harriers will settle to roost in the reeds. As darkness gathers, we’ll use a bat detector to search for bats and enjoy the eerie sounds of the night. Please bring a torch as it will be dark when these walks finish.
