Ducks dominate Minsmere wetlands in winter. Thousands arrive from the Arctic to seek shelter on the Scrape. Join our expert guides as they help you to spot tiny Teals, whistling Wigeons and gorgeous Gadwalls. Search too for geese, swans and wading birds. No previous experience needed. Bring binoculars or ask at reception about loaning a pair for the day. All ticket prices include reserve entry fees and hot drink in the cafe after the walk.

NETHERLANDISH INFLUENCES ON ITALIAN ART

With Paula Nuttall. Artistic innovation in the renaissance is usually associated with Italy, but equally momentous developments occurred in the Netherlands. This lecture charts the impact of early Netherlandish painting in Italy, from the activities of Italian merchants in Bruges, collectors such as the Medici in Florence and the travels of artists, to the responses of painters, including Piero della Francesca, Giovanni Bellini and Leonardo da Vinci.
