Come and meet the volunteers who are impressively re-creating Blythburgh Station, track, and rolling stock on the Halesworth to Southwold Railway (operated 1879-1929).

Halesworth (Holton) Airfield Memorial Museum

Open Sunday afternoons April-October, 2pm-5pm, on Sparrowhawk Road, IP19 8NH, north of Halesworth. Free admission. Free parking. Refreshments. Shop. Operational during WWII when the airfield was an American base with accommodation for 3000 personnel. Home of various units including the 56th Fighter Group and the 489th Bomb Group. This well-presented museum features memorabilia, photographs and much more.

Concerts at Cratfield – Heath Quartet

Concerts at Cratfield’s final concert features another of Britain’s most esteemed and dynamic ensembles, The Heath Quartet. The captivating programme includes Haydn, Henriette Bosmans, Korngold and Southwold-based composer Nathan Williamson’s Quartet Black commissioned for the 2023 Aldeburgh Festival. Running time: 2 hours including 30 minutes interval for delicious tea and cakes sold in aid of Cratfield church funds.
